Company:
Personix, a division of Fiserv
Problem:
Personix specializes in the production of personalized communication services, including
printed and electronic statements, invoices and transaction documents. Personix
is also the leader in the production of personalized financial and non-financial
cards, including plastic, paper and other materials.
Client had all applications running in AS/400 and Mainframes. It used to be a difficult
process to interface the COBOL code with the web interface. Client wanted a unique
value proposition by which they could use old systems and slowly convert them into
newer technologies.
Solution:
We worked with Personix to develop SQL Server database instead of COBOL data files
and provided .NET based web services to update and retrieve data for the Card manufacturing
applications. These web services were used by internal applications developed in
Personix and provide user interactions and reports.
Platform:
The application was built on Windows platform with IIS as the web server, C# as
the middle-tier application language and MS SQL Server as the backend database.
Conclusion:
The customer is extremely happy with the solution developed and implemented. Customer
has saved a lot of time in Card management and also it provides a better service
for its end-clients.
