A leading training institute based in Trivandrum, India.
Problem:
Client is Kerala's largest education and test Preparation Company with over 19 centre in Kerala, 5 in Tamil Nadu and 1 in Dubai training over 12,000 students across various courses. As explained it was difficult to keep track of admissions those happened at various branches at any given point of time. The management always gets delayed information as the information should flow from branches to the head office for reporting. This always troubles management to project the cash-flows and further reporting. Also each center used to provide their own discounts and it was not management of admissions was tough from head office.
Solution:
Pumex developed an online Enrollment Management System, which runs from a central web server. Each centre is allotted courses based on the relevance of those products to the locality and the capability of the centre to deliver them. The Enrollment Management System (EMS) module allows admission to any of the allotted courses in the centre and covers management of the entire admission process starting from Enquiry Capture, Counseling, Admission, Fee Collection and Issue of Student Pass. The courses are defined at the head office and each course will be defined with fee packages and discounts allowed. System would never allow any discounts beyond the allowed discount limit. The system keep tracks of fee payable with due dates and warns the user. Also we can generate centralized reports about daily collections and accounts receivables.
Platform:
The application was built on Windows platform with IIS as the web server, C# as the middle-tier application language and MS SQL Server as the backend database. The reports were developed using Crystal Reports.
